Newly built fire station in Tuttlingen, Germany

BEGA pole top and wall mounted luminaires were chosen as the primary light source for this new fire station located in Tuttlingen, Germany. The 16 garage bay station covers a majority of the 105,000 square foot site. Anthracite-grey brick covers the building facade, so as to emphasize the red fire trucks visible through the glazed garage doors. The station also houses a complex workshop, storehouse, and changing rooms for the firefighters, as well as a 50 foot tall hose and training tower.

Surface wall mount luminaires with an asymmetric distribution highlight the columns between each garage door and sufficiently illuminate the entrance court. Complementary pole top luminaires increase safety along the access routes. BEGA recessed ceiling downlights feature a soft, wide beam light distribution for a high degree of visual comfort. Utilized in the overhang of the main doors, they draw attention to the entrance area.
