State-of-the-art public library
The state-of-the-art $16.8 million, 32,431 square foot Centennial Hills Library was constructed on a seven acre site which includes the Centennial Hills Park, and the Centennial Hills Community Center. The facility achieved LEED Gold certification upon completion. This library, located in Las Vegas, Nevada, offers visitors a wide collection of books, music, and movies, among other resources. Designed for people of all ages, the facility also includes a computer lab, free wireless Internet, homework help center, art gallery, and a story room. An additional highlight is the popular used bookstore/café.
BEGA square light building elements guide visitors to the main entrance with compelling, geometric patterns of light on the pathway. Complimentary bollards are used to illuminate small scale pathways around the building perimeter with the same geometric distribution patterns. Asymmetric, surface wall mounted luminaires provide ambient illumination around the facility.
